BASKETBALL - ROCKETS - 12 MARCH 2018

Our Rockets were on fire in the first half of Tuesday's match against Wainui with a 4-1 lead at half-time.  However, the winning streak was not to last with Wainui winning the game.  All players are showing their much improved attacking and defending skills which are getting better every week.  Player of the Day was Annie Duncan for her great defence.

BASKETBALL - 5 MARCH 2018

What a great game from the Wentworth Rockets to start the round robin series at Stanmore Bay Leisure Centre on Tuesday, defeating Whangaparaoa 20-5. Great defence from Corbus Luke and James Warren-Kelland, attacking runs from Elijah Kirkpatrick and Rory Brabant, and accurate goal-shooting from Tyson made it a fantastic game for spectators and players alike. Player of the Day was Amy Akehurst who was literally everywhere on the court, with beautiful passing to her teammates and safe hands when catching. Go the mighty Rockets!!!
